TO THE RESIDENTS OF SHOAL CREEK DRIVE VILLAGE

We, the Trustee of Shoal Creek Drive Village, are proud to announce Judy Whitehead, John Knudsen, & Matthew Rigsby were elected to the Board of Trustees on April 6, 2010.   Harold Johnston was appointed by the Board to fill the unexpired term of Leah Murray who has resigned.  Don Scott is acting Chairman of the Board until a new Chairman is appointed.  We are here to serve the Village & can do a better job if we know what the Village Residents need & want for our Village.  The Village meetings are held every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall Building on 44th Street and we encourage your attendance so we can all work together to make our Village the best it can be.

DOG ORDINANCE

THERE IS A DOG ORDINANCE IN SHOAL CREEK DRIVE VILLAGE.  THE ORDINANCE STATES THAT YOUR ANIMALS MUST BE FENCED OR LEASHED.  PLEASE COMPLY.

SPEED LIMIT IN VILLAGE

THERE IS A 25 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT IN THE VILLAGE.  There have been several reports of excessive speed.  The Board requests that you observe the speed limit and protect the lives of the village residents.

KEEPING OUR VILLAGE CLEAN

The Village Residents overall are helping keep their property clean & clear of litter, excessive brush & debit.   But we do have a few problem areas.  The Village has an ordinance in place concerning property maintenance.   Please help keep the Village a good place to live by keeping your property clean not only for yourself but your neighbors!  We can burn, but before you begin, please call *Redings Mill Fire Dept. to get approval for a safe burn.   If you need assistance with maintenance or If you are willing to assist other Village Residents with maintenance projects, please call one of your trustees. 

THE VILLAGE HAS UNIFIED TRASH SERVICE.   **C & R Disposal is the ONLY trash hauler allowed in the Village.   The Village WILL NOT HAVE a rate increase for trash pick-up this year  thanks to C & R Disposal!  (Contact information below) 

NEW CONSTRUCTION

If you are planning on building, adding on to your residence, or putting up a fence or any out building/structure on your property, please bring plans to the Village meeting for approval.  If you see a violator concerning construction, please call a Trustee immediately. 

SPRING VILLAGE CLEAN-UP

SATURDAY MAY 15 THRU MONDAY MAY 31, 2010

FOR THE RESIDENTS CONVENIENCE, THERE WILL BE A DUMPSTER SET UP AT CIRCLE DRIVE.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS IN THE DUMPSTER:

·     TIRES

·     PAINT CANS/CONTAINERS OR ANY CONTAMINANTS

·     ASBEOSTES OR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS

·     BATTERIES

·     BRUSH & LIMBS/ YARD WASTE

·     APPLIANCES

·     TV/COMPUTER SCREENS

PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN TO DUMPSTER DIVE!
